"Famous Faces"

Over the past few weeks I've been working on a series called "Famous Faces" - a collection of Fine Art portraits of legendary people dating right back to the 1920's. I'm holding an exhibition for the collection, at Rudeboy Studios in Norwich, from May 14th onwards.

Marilyn

copyright sktchpd 2011 ⓒ

I know Marilyn Monroe has been used over and over again in the past by different artist's, to the point of becoming a bit of a cliché, but I still wanted to do my own take on her, and found an awesome photo I hadn't seen before. If I was going to do it I wanted it to be something different, not the typical smiley pose you find with Andy Warhol prints, so thought this was perfect.

The Boy & I

I drew this over a year ago now as a present for my boyfriend, and finally got round to putting it up.
Love you Jake.

John Frusciante

Now that I've finished uni, I've had more of a chance to get back into Illustration, and I love it! A close friend of mine asked me to do an illustration of former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante, and I couldn't wait to start it. I was well chuffed with the results, and think it's one of my best pieces of work so far.

This one's for you Mark.

Commissioned Illustrations

copyright sktchpd 2010 ⓒ

These illustrations are ones I have done for various people as commissions. They are all done using a variety of soft, medium and dark charcoals, and are around A2 in size. These specific ones have sold for around £100-£200 (depending on size and framing). If you are interested in having anything done, please do not hesitate to leave me a comment or message.

Old Illustrations

copyright sktchpd 2010 ⓒ

These are a selection of Fine Art illustrations I did when I was at Sixth Form College for a project on Realism. Since finishing College I have done quite a few illustrations for different people, and sold them for anything between £70 - £200. Examples of these shall follow shortly.
